Enrolment: In Zone, Years 1-6

All students, whose permanent address lies within our school zone, as per the Find My School website, are guaranteed a place at Seaford Park Primary School, in line with the Department of Education's Placement Policy.  Enrolment enquiries can be submitted at any time throughout the school year.  It is generally recommended that students transition to a new school at the beginning of a school year.

Our whole-school transition day is on the second last Tuesday of each school year. In 2024, this is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10th, and all students who are enrolled to transition to Seaford Park Primary School in 2025 will be invited to attend to meet their new classmates and their teachers.

In preparation for your child's transition, there are a number of tasks that must be completed by parents/carers:

  1. Attend a school tour: This is a recommended, but optional, first step in the process. If you are interested in attending a school tour, please complete this form and a member of the team will be in touch.
  2. Inform your child's current school: The team at Seaford Park Primary School will make contact with your child's current school on receipt of any tranfer/enrolment requests.  It is important that parents/carers inform their child's current school and complete the necessary paperwork for them to discuss the student's progress with the team at Seaford Park Primary School.
  3. Submit the necessary paperwork: There are a number of required documents that must be submitted before any child can be enrolled at Seaford Park Primary School. Parents and carers are invited to email these documents to the school office or post/deliver hard copies.
    1. Completed Enrolment Form - Enrolments forms cannot be accepted by the school before the start of Term 2.
    2. Birth certificate
    3. Immunisation certificate downloaded from the MyGov website
    4. Medical/health plans (e.g. Asthma, Anaphylaxis, etc.), where relevant
    5. Most recent school reports
    6. Any additional reports or information on your child that will help to ensure a smooth transition to Seaford Park Primary School
  4. Complete the Acceptance Form sent by email: The official offer of a place at Seaford Park Primary School will be emailed to you after all of the required documentation is received and processed.  This action includes registering your child with TeamKids, our Outside School Hours Care provider.

Once all of these tasks have been completed, a member of the team will be in touch to support you and your child with their transition.  This may include information on our school uniform and timetable, discussion about supports required and available for your child, the transition process that will be followed, access to Compass (our digital platform), etc.

If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact the school by phone or email.
