Enrolment


We are excited that your family is considering Seaford Park Primary School as a partner in your child's education. As Seaford Park Primary School is a first preference for many families in our community, there are clear processes in place. Please read the information below that is appropriate to your circumstances. 

 

School tours are regularly held and information can be found by completing this form.

 

Enrolments for 2026 Years 1 - 6:

 

If you are interested in enrolling your child for 2026, limited spaces are available in our Year 1 - 6 classes. Please complete the school tour form and someone will be in contact shortly to discuss availability and next steps. 

 

 

Enrolments for 2027 Prep Cohort:

 

To start Foundation (Prep) in 2027, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2027. School is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

 

 

Students Living In-Zone:

*Families who live outside our school zone and have a student already enrolled at Seaford Park Primary School are advised to follow the processes for families who live within our school zone. 

 

All students whose permanent address lies within our school zone, as per the Find My School website, are guaranteed a place at Seaford Park Primary School, in line with the Department of Education's Placement Policy. The processes for enrolling a child in Prep at any government school can be found on the Department of Education's website. 

  • From Term 2, 2026 (Monday 20th April), we will be able to accept enrolments for our 2027 Prep grade. Enrolment forms should be emailed to seaford.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au no later than 5pm on Friday 31st July 2026.  You will receive a response email confirming receipt of your documentation within 5 school days - please keep an eye out for that email and contact the office by telephone (03 9786 5179) if you don't receive it. 
  • Enrolments close on Friday 31st July 2026 and offers of places will be sent by email by 14th August 2026. Acceptance forms must be completed within 2-weeks of the offer being sent. Where no response is received in that time, the offer will be withdrawn and an invitation to enrol sent to the next student on the list.
  • Transition sessions will be held for all incoming Prep students in November. They are usually held from 2:30 until 3:15pm one afternoon per week and parents are invited to attend school-run information sessions at those times. The exact dates will be communicated in September.

 

Students Living Outside Zone:

Parents/carers of students, whose permanent address lies outside our school zone, as per the Find My School website, are invited to submit an expression of interest for enrolment in our Prep grade, in line with the Department of Education's Placement Policy. Please note the following:

  • Places will be offered first to students living within our school zone and siblings of students already enrolled at our school (early August). We will then offer any remaining places to students living outside our school zone according to the straight-line distance from their permanent address to our school. This information can be found on the Find My School website. 
  • Parents/Carers are invited to book a tour with a member of the team by clicking here. 
  • The application form for enrolment will be available at the start of Term 2 (Monday 20th April). Please contact the school office if you would like a copy (seaford.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au) and return it by email by 5pm on Friday July 31st. 
  • Enrolments close on Friday 31st July (no out-of-zone application forms will be accepted after this date). Parents/carers who have submitted an application to enrol their child at Seaford Park Primary School will be contacted in early August.
    • Where a place is available, parents/carers will be invited to complete the full enrolment process. There is a strict 2 week deadline for this process to be completed; if the necessary paperwork is not submitted within that time, the invitation to enrol will be withdrawn and offered to the next student on the list.
    • Where a place is not available, parents/carers will be advised of their neighbourhood (zoned) school. All students are guaranteed a place at their neighbourhood school and enrolment forms can be submitted at any stage. Your neighbourhood school can be found on the Find My School website.
